Cardiac is for the nutritional management of:

- Congestive cardiac failure

- Hypertension

Not recommended in cases of:

- Pregnancy, lactation, growth

- Hyponatraemia

- Pancreatitis or history of pancreatitis

- Hyperlipidaemia

Dogs with cardiac disease often show decreased appetite and weight loss. Due to its very high palatability and its high protein and energy concentration, Early Cardiac Canine is adapted for the maintenance of an optimal bodyweight.
	Taurine and L-carnitine are essential for myocyte function and they also enhance heart contractility.
	Hypomagnesaemia is common in dogs with cardiac failure; magnesium intake should therefore be increased. This electrolyte is involved in the myocardial production of energy.
	Low sodium diets reduce the retention of water and sodium which is associated with cardiac disease. This significant restriction enables the veterinarian to choose a reasoned sodium supplement where required.
