Veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of dogs with specific clinical conditions and are recommended to be used under veterinary advice. For more information on feeding Gastro-Intestinal Low Fat to your dog, please consult your veterinary surgeon.
Gastro-Intestinal Low Fat is for the nutritional support of dogs in cases of:
- Hyperlipidaemia
- Acute pancreatitis and history of pancreatitis
- Bacterial overgrowth
- Lymphangiectasia
- Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI)
- Acute and chronic diarrhoea
Not recommended in cases of:
Pregnancy and lactation
The restricted fat level improves digestive function in dogs with hyperlipidaemia, acute pancreatitis, EPI etc.
The low fibre content ensures high digestibility and nutrient absorption.
Highly digestible carbohydrates compensate for the decreased enzymatic ability in the intestinal brush border.
Fructo-Oligo-Saccharides and beet pulp stimulate the growth of a beneficial intestinal flora. Mannan-Oligo-Saccharides support immune function.
